Greetings District 44 Toastmasters:

I am humbled to have this opportunity to serve as the second District Governor in the history of District 44. Over the next year, I plan to focus on “leadership as the key to success”. To this end, it is my desire to continue developing leaders for the District and to embrace the Toastmaster’s theme – WHERE LEADERS ARE MADE.

I strongly believe that Leadership is a Measure of Success. I want to work very closely with Division and Area Governors, and club Presidents in promoting training so that they can become effective, successful leaders. In turn, these leaders will have the necessary skills to motivate, inspire, and encourage other members to successfully achieve their personal education goals.

I also support the premise that Membership is a Measure of Success. Clubs cannot become successful if they do not have a strategy to continue to recruit new members and retain existing members.
